This class will benefit you if you have no prior experience with the Irish language. We will focus on conversational Irish whereby we instil confidence in our students by learning useful phrases and basic sentence structure. This is done in a relaxed, informal setting that will encourage you to participate in opportunities to speak throughout our intimate classes. Fun and enjoyment is a guaranteed component of these classes!
This class will benefit you if you are familiar with the basics of conversational Irish (greetings/describing how you are/weather/hobbies etc). Perhaps you studied Irish at school years ago and would like to dust off some cobwebs? Do you have a love for learning a foreign language and already have a few phrases etc from previous classes? You may feel comfortable conversing in Irish, but when you open your mouth to answer, nothing comes out!
We will focus on conversational Irish with a slight emphasis on grammar to help structure our conversations. There will be many speaking opportunities during class to practise that will leave you feeling confident and eager to share your newfound skills with loved ones.
Feel confident in holding a conversation in Irish? This class will focus on fine-tuning your spoken Irish as well as grammatical aspects of the language. This class involves a mixture of conversational and grammatical lessons that will equip you to feel more confident when speaking, writing or listening to the Irish language.

While teaching in a Gaelscoil, (an Irish language-medium school) Áine noticed that many parents struggled to do Irish homework with their children. Áine has regularly held night classes for parents with children attending a Gaelscoil. These classes catered for beginners to advanced students have always been a huge success!
Áine has tutored many third level Irish university students. Classes have consisted of assisting students in preparing for and writing their Irish thesis. A huge emphasis has also been put on grammar during these classes.
Áine has spent summers teaching in an Irish Language College for Adults where she taught many classes for beginners. Áine has extensive experience in teaching adult students from all over the world. This has gifted her with an in-depth understanding of what adults struggle with when wanting to learn Irish. Áine has regularly held classes for those wanting to focus on their conversational Irish as well as those eager to improve their written and grammatical knowledge of the Irish language.
